I have more than 30 years of diverse financial experience. Prior to having my own practice which I launched in 2001, I served as a consultant to startup companies, including Santa Barbara Technology Group, LLC, a private investment and consulting firm engaged primarily in working with early-stage technology companies. Previously I served as the first Chief Financial Officer of SupplySolution, Inc., an application service provider that targets the automotive industry, helping the company raise $7.1 million in its first round of venture capital financing. My background includes ten years in various financial capacities at publicly held software developer QAD Inc. There I held an assignment in the Office of the President from 1997 – 1999, after serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1992 -1997 and as Controller from 1988 – 1992. Prior to joining QAD, I held the position of Director of SEC and Tax Accounting at Republic Indemnity Company of America from 1987 to 1988 and was Assistant Controller at Wrather Corporation from 1984 to 1987. From 1981 to 1983 I worked as an audit professional for Arthur Andersen & Company where I obtained my license as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. My Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics was earned at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1981.
I currently am the Chairman of the Ventura County Taxpayers Association, advocating on behalf of taxpayers for efficient and effective local government. I previously spent six years as Treasurer of the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce.
